Ah the carnival. So many lights and rides. So many people running around like lunatics, tripping people as they run off to the next ride that's designed every so slightly to make them all vomit the hot dog they have all just consumed. So many little carny people working at the stations looking as if they haven't showered in weeks, probably because they haven't. They'll do whatever it takes to grab your attention long enough to make a few bucks. Most even go the route of flirting. One even told me that they'd trade me a chance to win a small stuffed animal, that my dog would probably consume that night, for my lovely Nikon D3100. At this point in time I just gave him a funny look, took his picture, then continued on my merry way.
The carnival is normally full of dirty smelling people who would probably be homeless had it not been for their current job, but I must admit that the lights on all of the rides are breathtakingly beautiful. Some rather hard to get, but when you capture one just right, the image itself will floor you.

I probably took along the times of 150+ photos that night at the carnival. Sadly I might have only captured 10 workable photos (if not less).
My Nikon D3100 is bran spankin new so I'm still learning the ropes of this high tech device and every day I figure out something new. Gotta love the start of a person's career in the art field. I've got a promising future and I can't wait to start!
This is one photo of many on my road of success.
